My name is Kobina Otoo, and I’m delighted to connect with you. I’m a Queens, New York native, born and raised, and I’ve been a part of this camp for an incredible 14 years. I started as a camper, working my way through all the ranks to reach the position I’m in today.
From a young age, I was fortunate to gain work experience at this camp, a tradition I’ve continued for the past 7 years. Each summer brings new challenges, contributing not only to my personal growth but also to my development as a dedicated worker.
Life has been incredibly generous to me, providing opportunities for a quality education. Currently, I’m a Junior in College pursuing a degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a focus on Psychology. Alongside my academic pursuits, I’ve had the chance to play football, enhance my musical abilities, and engage in various extracurricular leadership activities. These experiences have shaped me into the well-rounded individual I am today.
One of my greatest joys is working with kids. Every interaction with a child is an opportunity to make a positive impact on their life and potentially inspire them to chase their dreams. I believe that I’ve been blessed to be a blessing to others. As a Junior Director here at Magic Summer Day Camp, my goal is to contribute positively to the lives of those I interact with.
